Kellermann Captures the Season Opener

Jacksonville resident professional Pete Kellermann captured the FPGTour Season Opener at Twin Rivers GC in Oviedo after finishing the 54-hole championship tied with Kyler Tate of Winter Garden at -11 under par. The pair played 3-holes of sudden death before Pete emerged the victor. Kellermann takes home the winners check of $3500 for the victory along with FREE entries into all remaining events on this seasons schedule valued at almost $8,000. Kyler Tate takes home$2,000 for his runner-up spot. In all 56 competitors teed it up this week with the cut after 36-holes coming at -2 under par. Rounding out the top 5 finishers were Moses Compaan of Jacksonville in 3rd place at -10, and at T-4 Jeff Corr of Apopka and overnight leader Matt Nagy of Buena Vista, GA both at -9 under par. The FPGTour heads north to Venetian Bay in New Smyrna Beach for the 15th Annual Volusia County Open on Saturday-Sunday.
