Julian Suri of Ponte Vedra Beach captured the 15th Annual Volusia County Open this week with a 2-day total of -13 under par. Julian trailed Kevin Aylwin and Bryan Fox by one shot after the first round. His -7 under par closing round of 65 left him 3 ahead of runner-up Cole Bradley. Suri takes home the Champions check of $2300 for the victory. The Florida Professional Golf Tour heads north to Ormond Beach for the 62nd Annual Riviera Open at Riviera Country Club on December 3-4. The event is a sell-out with 17 players on the waiting list. Among those entered in the Championship is Jeff Corr of Apopka the defending Champion, along with past Champions Willie Mack III, Kevin Aylwin, Gabriel Lench, Rod Perry, and John Elliott just to mention a few. Local Favorite (and 2-time Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Invitational winner) Matt Every is also in the field. The public is always welcome to come out and watch some fantastic golf.
